My wife and I have been to one of the Gaither's concerts in 2007. It was a mirage of all religions with nothing said publically that would offend anyone. Nothing controversy was never even hinted about. There was plenty of entertainment, sliding on the stage, dancing, cutting up to get a laugh, clapping and plenty of showing off. The music for the most part was rocky and far from "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs." Lots of "praising" and lifting hands to the "Lord," along with shouting and hollering. Not to mention long hair singers and musicians, or unmodestly dressed singers. These two tickets were given to us free of charge so we decided to go to view them for ourselves what we have heard. This was our first and last time. In Years past, some of the churches that we have been members of, have taken groups to see the Gaithers. Keep in mind these are "good" IFB KJV Churches, that are not CCM. Yet they see nothing wrong with most Southern Gospel music. This is very sad.

This is take directly from the Gaither's website. 9-11-2008-"Two Gaither Country Bluegrass Videos Top The Billboard Music Video Chart Press Release by Judi Turner For Immediate Release Nashville, TN (9-10-08) - Less than a month after their release, the two-volume Country Bluegrass Homecoming DVDs garner the top two spots on Billboard's Music Video chart for the week of September 14th. Starring world class artists from all three genres and hosted by gospel legend Bill Gaither, Country Bluegrass Homecoming Volumes 1 and 2 feature performances by Vince Gill, George Jones, Ralph Stanley, the Gaither Vocal Band, Marty Stuart, the Isaacs, Larry Sparks, the Grascals, Dailey and Vincent, and more than a dozen others. "Country, bluegrass and gospel music are connected in many ways, but one common denominator is that most artists in these three genres got their start singing in church," Gaither pointed out. "So when we all got together there was a wonderful sense of camaraderie. After bringing these talents together in an event that was so thoroughly enjoyable to create, it is especially gratifying to see that the public is responding so positively." The fact is the Gaither Vocal Band, and the Gaithers are worldly and it shows with such liberal ungodly fellowship as stated above. The Bible says we are to separate from the world, not to join hands with them. These so call "church" goers as Bill Gaither calls them, sing about wickedness, and live wicked lives. It's obvious becasue the world's crowd approves of them. This is seen by their wealth, popularity, sales, sold out concerts night after night, and their awards at the CMA's year after year. The only "common denominator" that I see is their New Evangelical stand to bring everyone together under one big tent.
