Index Lower and Higher Critiscism
|
| |
"Lower criticism is the examination of manuscripts to 'recover' the best possible original text of a document, whereas higher criticism is the investigation of questions such as authorship, date, and historicity of the Bible. (Both lower and higher criticism came from the same skeptical cauldron and both have greatly undermined faith in the Holy Scriptures because neither is predicated upon faith.)"
